Susan Sheppard is a globally recognized psychic medium, astrologer, author and artist. She has worked as an astrologer since her teens, at a time when she taught herself to cast horoscopes after poring over the astrology magazines at the local drugstore in the small West Virginia town where she was raised. By the time Susan was in her early twenties, she would be writing for those same magazines and winning awards for her writings.

But much earlier, Susan Sheppard was tapping into the psychic dimensions as a young child. When Susan was four years old, she was sensing and seeing the spirits of her Native American ancestors on the hillside where she grew up. By age fourteen, Susan assisted local law enforcement in missing person’s and other tough cases. She later married and moved to Parkersburg, West Virginia.

 

In 1990, Inner Traditions brought out Susan's ground-breaking past life oracle "The Phoenix Cards." She later had published her “Witch’s Runes” with Kensington Books and also “The Astrological Guide to Seduction & Romance,” a Book-of-the-Month Club Selection. Since 1996, Susan has led her famous Haunted Parkersburg Ghost Tours in her hometown of Parkersburg, West Virginia where she is the primary story-teller and guide.

In 2017, Blue Angel Publishing brought out her “Black Moon Astrology Cards."  Like her “Phoenix Cards,”  they are a one-of-a-kind divination system. The “Black Moon Astrology Cards,” is the most comprehensive oracle based on the ancient science and art of astrology to date. Susan still lives in Parkersburg, West Virginia (coincidentally, also the hometown of world famous astrologer Linda Goodman) where she conducts writing workshops, writes and publishes poetry, leads her ghost tours and makes her unique poppet dolls.
